What a Strange Long Trip…

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide 25… what does its strange chemical combination; a synthetic version of Ergot Acid, say about humans and their place in the world?

Albert Hofmann, the man that discovered LSD, died today at 102.

What does his discovery still hold for man, we do not know… He is on the final trip of existence; that of nothing.

Mario KartWiil

I have searched the internet… and no one has called the Mario Kart Wheel the obvious name… I give you, the MARIO KARTWiiL!

I am sure that Nintendo could have sold 20% more at launch if they had come up with this brilliant name.

Conversations Behind a Bush…

Although in this picture, all that one can see is a bush, I assure you that there are people having a lively conversation in its shadow. It must be fascinating and hilarious for one of those conversing, as she has a distinctive and piercing laugh.

The neighbors next door have a large and largely unused backyard that is directly below my bathroom. Usually, I have my window slightly opened to let in the springtime air, but, if I can clearly hear their conversation from inside the walls, the converse may be true as well.

Mr Picassohead…

I love a well-made and creative Flash-based cookie-cutter graphics website. That is why I am linking Mr. Picassohead.

This particular iteration of the sandbox site allows you to use Picasso-inspired shapes/colors/themes to make an abstract face… such as the one I created:

The Bearded Violet Man has a Secret…, originally uploaded by pressuretobear.

I like to think of these websites as being a more robust and flexible set of refrigerator magnets. Allowing you to create in the pre-fabricated confines of its objects.

There is quite a bit of creativity allowed from sites like this one. For example, have you ever seen the Mii contests and wide output by creators using the godawful and severely-limited Mii editor?

BSOD-Palooza

Last evening, while watching an .AVI of the X-Files on my PS3, I got an error that my media server went down, then that my internet connection had been terminated. I knew what had happened instantly, another fucking BSOD.

bsod, originally uploaded by post406.

Of course, this lead to a torrent of BSODs, which sucked.

I installed an X-Fi sound card recently, and was foolish enough to choose the full install package. I am guessing that this has lead to system instability for the past week or so…

I have uninstalled all of my video and sound drivers, cleaned my registry and reinstalled the minimum components to give me full functionality… I rarely use the extended software or features bundled anyways.

While I was at it, I got rid of some startup items, ran CHKDISK and did some cleanup I should have done before installing a soundcard.

Well, we will see if this helps. I am assuming it will, but that just may be too positive.
