I saw this picture in a picture feed from GameSpot’s coverage of the San-Diego Comicon:
I wondered if this was a fantasy action game featuring everyone’s “favorite” ex-Alaskan Governor/Veep Nominee…

I own this space on the web for at least another couple years… I might as well use it for something.
I was looking for DC Universe Classics Action figures (perhaps my current favorites) at the Toys R Us near my work, and, while the employee was looking in the back, I came across this die-cast Hot Wheel Batmobile.

Admittedly, I had seen it in some toy magazine or online, but it was far too much to resist in the flesh. The only thing that would make it cooler is if it had scale Burt Ward and Adam West action figures along with it… and maybe lights and sounds. Since it is made by Hot Wheels, all I can really expect is a solidly made vehicle though…
It is a solidly made vehicle, die-cast metal with authentic styling touches. It is a good foot long and probably weighs just over a pound. I am going to put it on my TV stand and forget about it.
I was lucky enough for my wife and sister-in-law purchase me the newest (and finest) iteration of the Millennium Falcon for Christmas.

I had a much smaller and less cool version as a child, which may have been my favorite toy.
That model had a handle that folded-out and a child could use to fly it around the home. This version is much larger, so no flying with it (although I was thinking a video with me flying it around outside whilst holding it over my head would be fun).
I have played with the sounds and light-up features, but it has been sitting on my couch, waiting to be hung from the ceiling. This evening, I finally got off my ass and hung it using fishing line and screw-in hooks.
I only had one mishap in which I pulled the hook from the ceiling and nearly dropped it. I think I might add an additional hook and line to add to the mini-rigging’s stability and strength, as a matter of fact.
The toy is pretty goddamned cool… I might post more pictures of it in the dark with its hyperdrive, cockpit light and headlamps on…

With the Final Crisis drawing nigh, it looks like we have yet another Speedster returning from the dead…

It really isn’t all that odd to have Barry Allen return; I think he has been in the current Flash run at least 5 or 6 times already. Simultaneously, he is one of those comic characters that had an iconic and meaningful death that was intended to be permanent. He served as a mentor for his nephew, who has taken Barry’s mantle and come into his own over the past 20 years.
Bringing Barry back from the dead is unnecessary. He had his time and place, and his return will lessen his sacrifice during the first Crisis.
